Sneak Peek and a Wall Hanging

Today I have a sneak peek at Heartfelt Creations new "Spring Medley" collection which will be debuting on January 11, at 12 midnight EST.  This collection features 5 new PreCut stamp sets and 1 exclusive die.  Beginning in January 2011, Heartfelt Creations will be launching new product releases every second Wednesday of the month, these collection is gorgeous and can't wait to show you all the beautiful stamps.
Guess what?  I got another Christmas project here, this is a wall hanging I made with this adorable stamp from Heartfelt Creations and one of my favorite dies, the decorative corner also by Heartfelt Creations.  This project used lots of heat embossing, I had embossing powder all over my table by the time I was done with it, but it was worth it, the gold embossing adds a lot of charm to the overall design of the project.   Make sure to swing by the HFC blog to check out all the awesome projects the rest of the design team has created.

Instructions:
Size 5 1/2" x 9"
This particular piece of patterned paper has the bottom edge die cut, so I just traced that edge on the top and cut with scissors, use the patterned paper to trace the shape on the chipboard and cut with scissors, paint edges and back of chipboard with acrylic paint, adhere patterned paper to chipboard with mod podge, ink edges with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder, punch holes and attach eyelets.  Cut a piece of wire, thread some red beads  as you twist the wire to make the hanger piece as pictured.  Die cut two decorative corners on chipboard using the die from "Perfect Petals" set, apply embossing ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.  Cut a circle from green cardstock and punch the decorative edge using the MS corner punch, (the super talented Lisa Gregory has a video tutorial on this technique, you can find it at http://what-a-beautiful-mess.blogspot.com/2010/10/paper-corner-punch-decorative-circles.html) apply embossing ink to the edges with the Zig writer and heat emboss, add little dots with the 3D paint.  Cut a fancy edge shape with the Cricut, stamp the "Cardinal Holiday Mailbox" image with StazOn and color with Distress inks, ink edges with tumbled glass distress ink, apply VersaMark ink and heat emboss, stamp the cardinal a second time, color and die cut with the coordinating die, adhere with pop dot.  Stamp "Merry Christmas" sentiment on white vellum with VersaMark ink and heat emboss, cut banner shape and heat emboss edges with gold powder.  Adhere everything as pictured, use pop dots for the green doily and the stamped image.
