Mini Suitcase Table

Hi everyone, today I want to share a project I created with stamps, dies, and paper from Heartfelt Creations.  I made this little chipboard decorative table with a couple of suitcases.
Here is a look at the flowers, I stamped them on cream and white cardstock with black ink and colored with broken china distress ink.
I added Stickles to the edges of the petals and around the pearls in the centers of the flowers.
I adhered a metal world plate to the outside of the suitcases.
Here is a look at the inside of the suitcases.
I used stamped images and images from the patterned paper.

Inks:  Ranger Archival ink (Jet Black), Adirondack Ink (Espresso), Distress ink (peeled paint, gathered twigs, broken china)  
Paper:  Cardstock (Cream, white), Chipboard  
Accessories:  Spellbinders (Creative Book Pages), Gelly Roll Glaze pen (Black), Trim, Washi tape, Tim Holtz film strip, Stickles (Waterfall), Glossy Accents, Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink (Gold), Alcohol Blending Solution, Liquid Pearls (Onyx Pearl), Adhesive pearls, Metallic mini brads, Rub 'n Buff (Gold Leaf), Bronze filigree metal corners, Bronze charms, mini wood spools, EK metal square letters, K & Co. Metal word plates, foam dots 

Finished size of project is 5 1/2" x 4 3/4" x 5 1/2".  Cut 2 pieces of chipboard 5 1/4" x 4 3/4" and adhere together, ink edges with gathered twigs distress ink, cover both sides with patterned paper (this makes the base of the project).  With a die from Spellbinders "Creative Book Page", cut the shape from chipboard, ink edges with distress ink, with same die cut shape from patterned paper and cover one side of the chipboard.  Take 4 mini wooden spools, ink edges with gathered twigs distress ink, cover center section with patterned paper, add some liquid pearls as pictured, adhere chipboard pieces and spools as pictured.  Stamp suitcase image from "Luggage and Sentiments" on cream cardstock with Espresso ink 4 times, cut with coordinating die, color with gathered twigs distress ink, color corners and handles with gold Rub 'n Buff, assemble all four suitcases, adhere 2 suitcases by hinging the back edges with a piece of cardstock, cover the inside with patterned paper.  Cut several tickets, tags, and images from the patterned paper, distress edges with distress ink.  Stamp a clock image with "Numeral Clocks" on cream cardstock with black ink, cut with coordinating die, shade with distress ink, place a black brad in center.  Cut 2 pieces of film strip and adhere a piece of travel themed washi tape with glossy accents.  Adhere the images, sentiments, tags, tickets, film strip, and charms as pictured inside the suitcases.  Add some trim and filigree corners.  Add metal word plates to the outside of the suitcases as pictured, (I changed the color by applying some gold Rub 'n Buff).  Adhere suitcases to the table as pictured.  Stamp flowers from "Majestic Morning Background" set on cream cardstock with black ink, cut with coordinating die.  Stamp several flowers from "Posy Patch Flowers" on white cardstock with black ink, cut with coordinating dies.  Stamp 3 leaf branches from "Open Leaf" set on cream cartdstock with black ink, cut with coordinating dies.  Color all flowers with broken china distress ink.  Color leaves with peeled paint distress ink.  Shape flowers and leaves with paper blossoms tool kit and mat.  Adhere all leaf branches and flowers as pictured.  Add the word "Fun" in metal tiles, I changed them to gold with some Rub 'n Buff.  Add adhesive pearls to the center of the flowers and Stickles to the edges of all the petals.

  1. Angelica!!! This is just a fabulous creation! I have looked and looked and looked at it. The detail is incredible and every little piece is gorgeous. I love the way the flowers cascade down the table legs. I love the surprises you've tucked inside the suitcases, I love the spool "legs." What a magnificent creation!
