Spellbinders Platinum Party Blog Hop

Hi friends and welcome to Day 1 of Spellbinders Platinum Party Blog Hop.  This blog hop will get your creative juices flowing with lots of beautiful projects featuring product from Spellbinders Platinum Preferred Partners, not to mention some great prizes up for grabs.
Enter Here to be eligible to win the Grand Prize.

For my project I have created a Christmas tag featuring stamps and paper from Heartfelt Creations and some of my favorite dies from Spellbinders.

I started by using Scalloped Borders dies on burgundy patterned paper to create the tag.  I cut a shape from cream cardstock with a die from Resplendent Rectangles, embossed and shaded with forest moss distress ink.  I stamped several branches with image from "Holiday Mail" set with two shades of green ink and added some glitter to the branches.
I stamped the ornaments on cream cardstock with black ink and cut with the coordinating dies, shaded the edges with distress ink and traced the swirls with glitter.
The poinsettia I made by stamping several images from the "Petite Poinsettia" set on burgundy patterned paper with black ink and cutting with the coordinating Spellbinders "Layered Poinsettia" dies, shaped the petals for dimension and added a touch of glitter.  The leaves I stamped on light colored patterned paper, shaded edges with distress ink and outlined the lines with glitter.
The "Merry Christmas" tag image is from one of the patterned paper sheets, I layered it over the decorative rectangle from "Radiant Rectangles" and added glitter to the outline of the frames.  All the layers and ornaments have been adhered with pop dots for dimension.  As a final touch I added the bow and a handmade stick pin.
You can find all the rules at the Spellbinders Blog here and make sure to visit all the participating blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
