Journey Shadow Box

Hi everyone, today I have a fun shadow box I created with the new "Balmy Breeze" collection  from Heartfelt Creations.  I made the box to match the size of the images I picked from the patterned paper sheets.

I used a couple of corner diecuts to frame the box.

I stamped the compass 3 times on patterned paper with black ink, cut the 3 circles and adhered to chipboard.  After I adhered them together I covered it with clear embossing enamel for the glass look.

You can see some of the sparkle here on the anchor, I used lime green and silver stamp paint to add shimmer to the roses and silver paint on the anchor and compass.

Here is the finished back and sides covered with patterned paper and shaded edges with distress ink.

I used some metal effect paint from Viva to cover all the front edges of the chipboard, this added a very cool metal finish to the project.

For my project I made the shadow box with chipboard to fit the images I wanted to use. Make shadow box with chipboard, cover all pieces with patterned paper from "Balmy Breeze" paper collection, use your favorite images for each block.  Ink outside edges with distress ink, cover front edges of chipboard with graphite metal effect.  Stamp compass image from "Surfs Up" set 3 times on light colored patterned paper with black ink, adhere to chipboard and cut 3 size circles, apply silver 3D-stamp paint to edges, cover with watermark ink and heat emboss with ultra thick embossing enamel, adhere to box with pop dots.  Cut 4 decorative corners with die from "Decorative Metal Fixtures" from cardstock, adhere 2 together to make a bit thicker, paint with silver 3D-Stamp paint, adhere to box as pictured.  Stamp large anchor from "Seascape " set with black ink on light colored patterned paper twice, cut with scissors and craft knife, adhere both together with pop dots, adhere to box with pop dots.  Stamp flowers on light patterned paper with stamps from "Open Vintage Floret" and "Mini Vintage Floret" set with black ink, cut with coordinating dies, shade with 3D-Stamp paints, shape for dimension.  Stamp leaf swirl from "Beautiful You" set on dark patterned paper with black ink, cut with coordinating die from "Decorative Flower Pot" set, add silver 3D-Stamp paint, shape.  Stamp small anchor on cream colored patterned paper twice with black ink, cut with coordinating die, cut one anchor from white fun foam, adhere paper anchors to front and back of foam anchor, add some silver paint.  Adhere everything as pictured, add your favorite embellishments and details like chain, shells, twine rope, metal filigree, and sentiments.
