Heartfelt Creations Card with Coordinating Tin

Good morning and welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, hope everyone is having a great week so far.  Today I'm sharing a card and coordinating tin I made with some of the new images from the beautiful "Classic Christmas" collection released last week.  I started by adding a couple of different alcohol inks and alcohol blending solution to the tin, after a while of playing around with the ink I ended up with this very cool effect.  The sentiment is from the "Book Frame 2" set.
I made the poinsettias with the stamps from the "Petite Poinsettia" set and cut with the coordinating dies.  I also used the holly leaves from the "Holly-Ornament" die set, they go beautifully well with the poinsettias.  One of the other dies I love using and I had to add to this project is the small flower from the "Posy Patch " die set, I used that die to cut the small blue flowers.
Here is another view of the tin, love the effect of the alcohol ink.
The main shape of the card I cut with the Cricut.  The dark blue die showing underneath the stamped image is the die "Decorative Oval Window".  The image I stamped on 150lb. white Canson paper and colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.
Here you can see all the sparkle from the Stickles on the star and the petals of the poinsettias and the flowers.
Here is another closeup of the poinsettias, lots of cutting and shaping.
Please make sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog for tons of beautiful inspiration.  Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time.

Instructions:
Size:  4 3/4"
Card:
Cut circular base for card from white cardstock, for mine I used the Cricut.  Cut a circle slightly smaller from blue patterned paper and ink edges with faded jeans distress ink.  Using the "Decorative Oval Window" die, cut and emboss shape from blue cardstock.  Stamp image from "Shepherd Scene" set on white paper with black ink and color with Prismacolor pencils, cut and emboss with the largest die from "Labels Nine", without removing the die from the stamped image, shade edges with faded jeans distress ink, apply Stickles to the star.  Stamp 4 poinsettias using the smallest image from "Petite Poinsettia" set on white cardstock with black ink, cut with coordinating die, ink slightly with faded jeans ink and shape with embossing tools.  Cut 5 holly leaves using the the small die from "Holly-Ornament" die set from green cardstock and shape with embossing tools.  Cut 6 flowers from blue cardstock using the smallest flower from "Posy Patch" die set, shape with embossing tools.  Punch 4 branches from green cardstock.  Adhere everything as pictured, add ribbon and bow.  Add stickles and adhesive pearls to the poinsettias and flowers.

Tin:
Adhere tape or paper to cover the window of the tin.  Apply two shades of alcohol ink with blending solution until you get the desired color, making sure to cover all the metal areas on the outside of the tin.  Using the holly leaves dies from "Holly-Ornament" die set cut the following from green cardstock; 3 large, 5 small, shape with embossing tools.  Using the small flower die from "Posy Patch" die set cut 5 flowers from blue cardstock and shape with embossing tools.  Using the poinsettia images from "Petite Poinsettia" set, stamp the following on white cardstock with black ink;  4 small, 3 next size up, 2 next size up, cut with coordinating dies from "Layered Poinsettia" die set, ink with distress ink and shape with embossing tools.  Punch 4 branches with the MS punch.  Stamp sentiment from "Book Frame 2" on white cardstock with black ink, cut and emboss with second size from smallest die from "Labels Nine", before removing the die from the paper, shade slightly with faded jeans distress ink.  Adhere everything as pictured, add ribbon bow, add adhesive pearls to poinsettias and flowers, add Stickles to petals.  Adhere sentiment with pop dots.  Add some mini pearls around the edge of the window.

  7. You are so inspirational Angelica. I would never have thought to use my alcohol inks for this type of project. In fact, I've had a complete set ever since Tim introduced it and never used them. For sure I'm getting them out this afternoon as I have a few tins like this just sitting around. This is an amazing and gorgeous creations my friend. So beautifully put together.
