With Halloween around the corner, I have been making some fun Halloween themed cards, like this one!! I found this "Kitty & the moon" image from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps really fun to work with, I used the stamp itself as inspiration for the overall design of the card, and look, the "Swirly Bat" stamp just worked perfectly for this design.
Supplies:
Stamps; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps (Kitty & The Moon, Swirly Bat)
Inks; VersaMark Watermark, Cat's Eye (Peach Pastel), Distress ink (rusty hinge)
Paper; Cardstock, Basic Grey patterned paper.
Other; Black detail embossing powder, black macrame thread, Anna Griffin corner punch, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, button.
Instructions:
Stamp the "Swirly Bat" image all over the cream patterned paper with peach pastel cat's eye ink, ink edges with distress ink, emboss with swiss dots embossing folder, punch corners, mat on black cardstock. Cut a circle from orange patterned paper and ink edges with distress ink, adhere as pictured. Make a bow and wrap the macrame thread 3 times as pictured, add a button. Stamp the "Kitty & The Moon" image three times on orange patterned paper with watermark ink and heat emboss with black detail embossing powder, trim and mat on black cardstock, adhere with pop dots. Stamp the "Swirly Bat" image twice on black cardstock with watermark ink and heat emboss with black embossing powder, hand cut and adhere as pictured.
ooh, love this card! Very discreet looking, and somthing of an asian flair.
